ATL tech industry gets ‘vote of confidence’

Airbnb has announced that its Atlanta Tech Hub will be located in West Midtown. The office space “will create new, high-skilled technical and non-technical roles, building on our commitment and investment in the city,” a press release stated. The location at the corner of 14th Street and Howell Mill Road is in the mixed-use Interlock complex and is managed by Georgia Advanced Technology Ventures, an affiliate of Georgia Tech. “This investment is a vote of confidence in the strength of our tech industry and Atlanta’s existing talent,” said Mayor Andre Dickens in a statement. “We welcome Airbnb’s new tech hub and I look forward to working together to create a pipeline of technical jobs and economic opportunities for our residents.” news.airbnb.com
