NEWS BRIEF: Fulton County restricts cell phone use for school kids
Students will have to hang up and power down
Students at schools in Fulton County will have their cell phone use curtailed beginning in August, the Board of Education has announced.
Assistant Superintendent Christopher Matthews said the use of “highly distracting” devices such as mobile phones, tablets and smartwatches will be banned during instruction hours, depending on grade level. Additionally, students will be prohibited from using their devices to record and distribute “unlawful activity, egregious or dangerous events.” fox5atlanta.com
