The new building will distribute 80,000 pounds of Food per day

Caring For Others, a nonprofit working to stamp out poverty, opened a new 5,000 square-foot extension to the South Atlanta Food Bank building on Browns Mill Road over the weekend. The site will expand daily food distribution to 80,000 pounds per day and help address hunger within the area.

“Our goal is to eradicate food insecurity, which, in turn, helps end poverty once the stress and cost of food is removed from their plates,” said Caring For Others CEO Eslene Richmond-Shockley in a news statement. “Through the goodness of humanity all around us, Caring For Others is able to persevere and expand our operations at the South Atlanta Food Bank.“ Details: www.caring4others.org
