Startup Atlanta to honor "exemplars of Atlanta optimism"
Andrew J. Young is to receive an award for lifetime achievement from
Startup Atlanta, along with tech pioneer Ben Chestnut, it was announced last week. The Oct. 12 ceremony will take place at Atlantic Yards.
Young co-founded fintech startup Greenwood in 2020 and is a respected champion of human rights. He served in elective office as Atlanta mayor and U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations. Chestnut is the creator of Mailchimp, now owned by Intuit after a $12 billion acquisition.
