Commissioners in coastal Brunswick, the birthplace of Ahmaud Arbery, have begun erecting signs at intersections in the heart of the city’s Black community that will be designated in his honor. The first two signs were unveiled Tuesday near the African-American Cultural Center, which has a giant mural of Arbery’s image, WRDW reports. Arbery’s parents joined the commemoration the day after the men responsible for their son’s death were sentenced in U.S. District Court for federal hate crimes. Details: wrdw.com
