Funeral Home scheduled for completion in late 2024

A developer has released renderings of plans for the site surrounding H.M. Patterson’s Spring Hill Chapel in Midtown. Portman Holdings owns the property and wants to create a three-tower development named Spring Quarter with an office building, a luxury apartment complex, a hotel and retail space at the highest elevation in the area. The project is scheduled for completion in late 2024.

The chapel, open from 1928 until 2020, held funeral services for Margaret Mitchell — who lived within walking distance — and mayors Ivan Allen and William Hartsfield. The main building, the front lawn and the north garden are protected by landmark status. Details: ajc.com
