ATL BREWS: Anniversary celebrations, Oktoberfest, and more

One of Atlanta’s longest running breweries, Atlanta Brewing Company (known as Red Brick Brewing at one time) on the Westside has shut its doors… but only temporarily. They’ll be moving to a new location in Underground Atlanta later this year. Stay tuned!

Sweetwater Brewing Company in Midtown is throwing a Super Jam Saturday, Sept. 10, from 8-11 p.m. with live music, and of course, their great beer!

Jekyll Brewing is holding its second annual The Beat Goes On event sponsored by the Adult Congenital Heart Association (ACHA) Saturday, Sept. 10, from 1-8 p.m. This will be held at the Marconi Drive location with food trucks, live music, and, of course beer, fun, and college football on the TV. Celebrate with Scofflaw Brewing Co. on the Westside as they mark their sixth anniversary — basement style — Sat., Sept. 17, starting at 6 p.m. They’ll have junk food, sports, video games, hunch punch, old couches, comic books, and more (yes, the baby goats will be there)! The Westside Fall Beer Fest takes place Saturday, Sept. 24 from 2-6 p.m. at the Chattahoochee Food Works. It will feature 20 different fall beers, ciders, and seltzers from ten different local breweries, live music, and food stalls. Tickets available here.

StillFire Brewing in Suwanee will have their Oktoberfest celebration on Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 1 and 2, featuring five authentic German-style beers, live German music, and a costume contest.  A $10 cover starts at 3 p.m. each day.

Sunday, Oct. 2, from 1-5 p.m. join Gate City Brewing Company for the Gate City Makers Market. They’ll have over a dozen local and regional artisans and independent craftspeople.

Join Three Taverns Craft Brewery for a special Halloween Art Market on Saturday, Oct. 8, starting at noon. They’ll have over 15 local artists on site, as well as yummy food and some of the best beer in town!

Second Self Beer Company on the Westside is throwing a sweet event — Donut & Dessert Fest Atlanta — Sunday, Oct. 15, from 1-5 p.m., pairing donuts and other desserts with their beers.

Check out the Taste & Brews Fall Festival at Etowah River Park in Canton, GA, Sat., Oct. 15, from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. They’ll have tons of great Southern food, a vendors market, live music, and a kid zone in addition to great craft beer.

Celebrate Hare-O-Ween at Red Hare Brewing Company in Marietta on Saturday, Oct. 29, from 2-7 p.m. with live music, a doggie costume competition, pumpkin painting, and more!

Friday, Nov. 4, brings MannaFest back to Pontoon Brewing Company in Sandy Springs from 6-9 p.m. Proceeds go to benefit Manna Fund which raises money to help treat and educate about eating disorders, trauma, and other mental health issues here in Atlanta. They’ll have Memphis BBQ, a live blues band and all kinds of prizes!
