NEWS BRIEF: New commemorations for the 1906 Race Massacre unveiled this weekend

Atlanta's racist past to be remembered
The Coalition to Remember the1906 Race Massacre will be unveiling three markers in Atlanta on Friday, September 23 and Saturday, September 24 to raise awareness of Atlanta’s troubled past. The Downtown marker dedication will take place at the Auburn Avenue Research Library at 101 Auburn Ave NE, on Friday, Sept 23 from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30p p.m. The Zeb Long marker dedication will take place at Sumner Park 1889 Lexington Ave, East Point, GA between 12:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. And on Saturday, Sept 24, and the Brownsville Marker Dedication will take place Saturday, Sept 24 between 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. at 75 Gammon St SE Atlanta, GA.
