Hearthstone Fireside Gathering & Tournament

It’s time again for another Fireside Gathering at B&B!

Tournament rules:

Registration starts at 5pm, match starts at 6pm. We have filled the roster in as little as 20 minutes in the past, so showing up early is recommended! Cafe is open from 12p-5p on Sundays. Line for Hearthstone starts at main entrance. No cuts through the cafe will be allowed.

Upon arrival you can register for the tournament at the Gaming Desk. You will need to put down your Name, Blizzard IGN (BattleandBrew#0313), and e-mail. You will need gametime on your account in order to participate. We offer a special $12.50 (half price) Blizzard All Day pass at gatherings, but you can choose to do hourly or upgrade to a regular all-day pass or MOBA pass if you want.

Tournament brackets have a minimum of 8. We are capping this tournament at 32.

Format will be 4 Hero 1 Ban Standard Conquest. Best of 5

Conquest Format

• All matches will be best-of-five. The first player to win three games within the match is considered the winner of the match and advances.
• Each player must submit deck lists from four unique classes prior to each stage of the event. Players may not change or alter these decks during the tournament at any time. Opponent will ban one of the four decks.
• A player must win one game with each of his three remaining decks to win the match.
• When a player wins a game, the deck used by the winning player cannot be used for the remainder of the match.
• The losing player can keep the same deck used or switch to a different one of their choice.
• Players will be told what classes their opponent has available, but they won’t know which class is picked until both players have picked.

ANY form of cheating will not be tolerated. This includes deck counters, card counters and pen and paper accounting of cards.

We appreciate your patience with us taking our time setting it up and making sure everything is run correctly.

Remember that Battle & Brew is a BAR and we are 18+ ONLY at all times! In order for us to keep hosting Fireside Gatherings, the bar must see these events as profitable (being a business, this is necessary) so be sure to order some food & drinks while here, and take care of your server!

Prizes will be Blizzard swag or House Cash.

Side Tourney

In addition to our regular tourney, we’re going to try and hold a side tourney this month. It will be for Round One KO’s, and we’ll take the first 8 people to sign up. This side event will be played on personal devices in the Board Room. You must have your own device in order to play.

Format will be Last Hero Standing, 3 hero, Best of 3, Single elim.

Once you win with a deck, you CANNOT switch decks. You must keep playing with the winning deck until you lose with it. If you lose with a deck you can no longer use it for the rest of the match. The prize will be a small house cash B&B gift card.

Couch Casting Stream

Where we stream the tournament on Battle & Brew’s twitch channel and YOU cast it! Anyone at the gathering can cast the tournament, and we encourage rotation so that everyone who wants to cast gets the chance to. We’re still working on making it the best it can be, but currently it’s going well and we’re open to your feedback.
