Edgewood Sax Trio

The Edgewood Saxophone Trio is rounded out by three of Atlanta’s hardest working reeds men: Jeff Crompton (alto), Ben Davis (tenor) and Bill Nittler (baritone). The group set the stage for an ongoing musical legacy of jazz-based saxophone music with the arrival of its 2014 debut CD, Snake Nation. During each live performance, the group deploys a bold and wailing blend of original compositions and bouts of improvisation. They’ll put their own skronking spin on a Butthole Surfers cover from time to time as well. These elder statesmen of the local music scene are all horns, all class, all the time.
