Take a step beyond filling the recycling bin and raise money for Live Thrive Atlanta and the Center for Hard to Recycle Materials (CHaRM). The nonprofit is Atlanta’s primary drop-off facility for nontraditional recyclable materials and aims to sustain a healthy environment. For $50, guests can become environmentalists and enjoy an evening of music, food and fun. WABE’s Lois Reitzes lends her distinctive voice to the cause as emcee, and local favorite Yacht Rock Revue provides a live soundtrack. Chef Nick Melvin from Venkman’s (pictured above) prepares a menu of passed appetizers, and guests receive two drink tickets as well. Commuters can upgrade their 85 detours with a raffle entry for a 2017 BMWi3. All proceeds will help support Live Thrive’s operation costs for a year.
