On the second Sunday of each month, the High offers free admission for all visitors and special family-friendly programming. Fuel your imagination this summer with the power of reading. Visit magical places, meet exciting characters and explore storytelling throughout the month of June.
Art-making workshops, 1-4 p.m.: Work with High Museum teaching artists to create your own masterpiece!
Ashley Bryan story times, 1:30, 2:30, and 3:30 p.m.: Join the fun through an interactive experience inspired by Ashley Bryan's beautiful picture books.
Jingle writing workshops with the Ukulady, 1:15, 2:15, and 3:15 p.m.: Learn how to write a jingle about your favorite work of art in the High's collection.
Frank Hamilton School performance and sing-a-long, 1:30, 2:30 and 3:30 p.m.: Gather 'round and sing along with students and teachers from the Decatur-based Frank Hamilton School.
Art movers, 2:45 p.m.: In this program, families will get moving in the galleries. For 20 minutes, look at an artwork and make connections with movement.
Toddler Tours, 1:15 and 2 p.m.: This workshop is a physically interactive experience for toddlers to engage with art. Building on budding imaginations, we'll use dance- and drama-based strategies to interpret works of art and learn about museums.
Baby Steps: Infant Tour, 3:30 p.m.: The earliest encounters with art are about interacting with the visual world and encouraging babies to respond to their environment. Baby Steps is about having a one-on-one conversation with your baby.
ABC's Photobooth, 1-4 p.m.: "F" is for "family" and "P" is for "picture." Create your family picture with letter props and more. Remember to say "cheese!"
