On the second Sunday of each month, the High offers free admission for all visitors and special family-friendly programming. Learn about some of Andy Warhol's most iconic prints. (Is that their real hair?!) Discover pieces in the permanent collection featuring wigs. Move through the galleries to see kinetic works and images representing movement.
Art-making workshops, 1-4 p.m.: Work with High Museum teaching artists to create your own masterpiece.
Warhol, Wigs, and Wiggles story times, 1:30, 2:30, and 3:30 p.m.: Join the fun through an interactive children's book experience inspired by Andy Warhol, wigs, and movement.
Wiggly Warhol-inspired family yoga, 1, 2, and 3 p.m.: Connect your breath to movement in this playful yoga drop-in workshops for families and children of all ages.
Dogs With Wigs and sing-a-Long with the Ukulady 1:15, 2:15, and 3:15 p.m.: Imagine if your puppy had a wig - What would that look like?! Join the Ukulady to find out, make a hand puppet (and wig for it) and gather for a Ukulady-led singalong.
Printmaking demonstrations, 1-4 p.m.: Learn about a variety of printmaking topics including etching, relief printing, screenprinting and letterpress printing from the High's friends at Atlanta Printmakers Studio.
Art movers, 2:45 p.m.: In this program, families will get moving in the galleries. For 20 minutes, look at an artwork and make connections with movement.
Toddler Tours, 1:15 and 2 p.m.: This workshop is a physically interactive experience for toddlers to engage with art. Building on budding imaginations, use dance- and drama-based strategies to interpret works of art and learn about museums.
Baby Steps: Infant Tour, 3:30 p.m.: The earliest encounters with art are about interacting with the visual world and encouraging babies to respond to their environment. Baby Steps is about having a one-on-one conversation with your baby.
Warhol-inspired photobooth, 1-4 p.m.: Grab a Warhol wig, sunglasses, and a can of Campbell's tomato soup for our Warhol-inspired photobooth. Strike your best model pose!
