The Circus Saved My Life (free film screening)

The Spring of Tampa Bay has partnered with local filmmaker Stewart Lippe to promote his award-winning documentary “The Circus Saved My Life” which will be hosted by Tampa Theatre on July 22^nd. The film follows the story of a young Mongolian woman’s story of domestic abuse and her escape by joining an American circus. This film also chronicles her eventual return to her country to help others in similar situations. There will be a panel discussion after the screening to discuss the local and global issues of domestic violence covered in the film and the filmmaker will be available to answer questions about the film.
