Grammy-nominated singer and song writer Angie Stone is coming to the American Diabetes Association’s Victory Over Diabetes” event to talk about her experience with type 2 diabetes. This event is committed to helping the African American community to be fearless about facing diabetes since African Americans are 1.8 times more likely to have diabetes as non-Hispanic whites. The event will offer education for attendees on how they can better manage their diabetes and will feature education components including a variety of diabetes-friendly cooking demonstrations
