If House had come along in the early mid-’70s, he would have been hailed as an up and coming singer/songwriter to watch. Unfortunately, the ’00s haven’t been so kind, perhaps because there is too much competition in his chosen genre. Regardless, his music resonates with a casual Southern touch, rootsy vocals and sharp, often strummy melodies that never overstay their welcome.
