Atlanta Schola Cantorum, under the direction of John Whitt, presents Angel Song, a program of choral music, featuring works about angels and their messages, featuring the “Gloria” from Palestrina’s Pope Marcellus Mass, the soaring Ave Maria by Robert Parsons, and motets by Dering, Victoria, Handl, Holst, Schütz, Gabrieli, and Weelkes. Living composers are featured in works by Eric Whitacre, Patricia Van Ness, and local composer James Fason.
