The Friends of the Stonecrest Library is proud to announce the grand opening of “Forty Acres and More: African Americans and the Civil War” on November 5, 12 – 3 p.m. at the Stonecrest Library. Historian and former Atlanta Hawk Mike Glenn presents his latest exhibit which commemorates the 150th anniversary of the war. Through period documents, pictures, and newspapers from his personal collection, visitors will learn the many roles that African Americans played in the war and can celebrate the heroism of the soldiers. The exhibit will remain on display through November 17.
