Chamber Cartel presents yet another unique experience as it presents theatrical music by Mauricio Kagel, Sean Griffin, and Vinko Globokar. Madness ensues in Kagel’s Dressur, a tour-de-force for three percussionists playing 44 instruments. Griffin’s Pattycake is a virtuosic, nostalgic, humorous take on the childhood game we grew up with. In Globokar’s Toucher, a one-act play on Bertolt Brecht’s Galileo Galilei, the percussionist speaks the characters’ parts while playing instruments that emulate French phonetic sounds. Hosted by Eyedrum, performed at Horizons School Theater by percussionists Amy O’Dell, Victor Pons, Mike Stubbart, and Caleb Herron.
