Goo Goo Dolls, Collective Soul, Society Tribe

Sun., Sept. 4, 7 p.m. 2016
Cost: $40-$65

From the venue:

What these two veteran headliners lack in cutting-edge music they make up for with longevity. Buffalo’s Goo Goo Dolls have been churning out once alternative, now slicker pop punk with increasingly heavy crossover appeal since 1987. Georgia’s Collective Soul has been perfecting melodic grunge-pop since 1993. Both bands attract an aging demographic which makes this pairing logical, both commercially and artistically. The local heroes, led by the irrepressible Ed Roland, tour behind 2015’s imaginatively titled if under-heard See What You Started by Continuing, a tough, guitar thumping set as potent as anything in their catalog.
