The season opens with a modern take on Stephen Sondheim’s musical Company directed by Actor’s Express Artistic Director Freddie Ashley. In the fall, Actor’s Express will produce Branden Jacobs-Jenkins’ Appropriate. A new production of Arthur Miller’s The Crucible kicks off in 2017 followed by The Legend of Georgia McBride by Matthew Lopez. The season will close with Father Comes Home from the Wars (Parts 1, 2 & 3), and Suzan-Lori Parks’ epic trilogy. Actor’s Express will also be producing the second incarnation of Threshold, its weeklong playwriting festival.
