Panorama Ray Remembered

The late Atlanta photographer Panorama Ray used a century-old panoramic camera to capture what he called “Living Stills,” a style and he term he invented. The result created ethereal effects in his work, lending a spooky vibe to his folk art efforts which captured subjects from the Eiffel Tower to members of the Ku Klux Klan in North Georgia. In addition to photography, Ray was a popular local musician during the early ‘90s and painted. The show opening pays homage to the 20 years passed since Ray’s death with live music, performances, and of course, some of the artist’s pieces on display.
