There’s something special about eating food straight from the garden –– whomever’s garden that may be. At the Homestead Atlanta’s September Atlanta Food Swap, trade homegrown, homemade, and hand-foraged goodies with other foodies. Fellow neighbors who want to share semi-free food will be waiting with their bounty and anticipating yours. Think fresh jams, cookies, pastries, backyard eggs, herbs, and other pre-made eats. Trade that extra can of mint-infused pesto for one pack of cookies. Done deal, right? Don’t worry about having a green thumb; crafty, inedible goods (and moral support from wary spectators) are welcome to the trade.
