Free Family Festival

Saturday September 10, 2016 08:00 PM EDT
Cost: Free with reservation

From the venue:

The Woodruff Arts Center hosts its sixth Free Family Festival as part of CREATE ATL Family Fun, an initiative to encourage hands-on participation in the arts through kid-friendly programming — for free! This year’s itinerary is jam-packed with activities spanning art, music, theater, and more led by the Alliance Theatre, the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, and the High Museum of Art. A small sampling of the goods includes live performances from master Jamaican musicians and storytellers; a scavenger hunt based on the High’s exhibition highlighting beloved children’s book author Eric Carle; an “instrument petting zoo” where children 5 and older can touch and try violins, a cello, a flute, and a trumpet; and many other scheduled activities, from acting workshops to art labs. How about a Sunday Funday with the kids this week?
