Joi Gilliam may be a resident of Los Angeles these days, but trust and believe the funk/rock/soul singer is Atlanta musical royalty through and through. Just check out her résumé, which includes a lauded catalog of classics produced by fellow hometown legend Dallas Austin, guest vocal appearances on songs by hit-making artists such as TLC, and membership in the Dungeon Family. She’s worthy of eternal adoration. That said, whenever Joi returns to the A to take the stage, consider her live show a must-see experience.
