Author and urbanist Anthony M. Tung will speak on diverse urban preservation and revitalization topics from international and domestic perspectives. He will reference his experiences working in and researching historic urban centers including Amsterdam, Rome, New York City, Venice, and Charleston.Tung has been a New York City Landmarks Preservation Commissioner and an instructor of architectural history and urban preservation. His book, Preserving the World’s Greatest Cities: The Destruction and Renewal of the Historic Metropolis, is the story of the fight to save the world’s architectural and cultural heritage.
