Anamanaguchi received its name from a friend speaking gibberish while impersonating Jabba the Hutt. The band specializes in creating chiptune music, which is best described as electronic synthesized music inspired by vintage video game consoles such as the NES. Among its most notable exploits, this NYC quartet has sent a slice of pizza into space. If you love the aesthetic of Lisa Frank’s artwork, and Gameboy Colors, Anamanaguchi is for you.
