The Spelman College Museum of Fine Art will host its opening reception and a landmark conversation with renown abstract artist Howardena Pindell at 6 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 24. Dr. Mary Schmidt Campbell, president of Spelman, will engage in conversation with Pindell. The exhibition features Pindell’s early works on paper, paintings, her seminal video Free, White and 21, and works from her Autobiography series.Free and open to the public, this event will take place at Spelman College Museum of Fine Art in the Camilla Olivia Hanks Cosby, Ed.D.
