Jan Cox: Contiuum

“Jan Cox: Continuum,” an exhibit of continuous line drawings in the tradition of surrealist automatism, will open Saturday, March 15, at Sycamore Place Gallery. Georgia philosopher Jan Cox was an author, artist, teacher and intellectual provocateur. His drawings illuminate the human condition, capturing human foibles in the mundane moment. “Continuum” is part of a project to archive his works, which will be permanently housed in the Hargrett Library of the University of Georgia. Gallery hours March 15 from noon to 8 p.m. and March 16 noon to 5 p.m. with opening reception 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday.
