While the blanket of pollen surrounding the city can be an annoying reminder that spring is quite literally in the air, we should all look beyond the sneezing and scratchy throats to enjoy the beauty of the flowers and trees blooming all over. As the annual welcome to spring, the Atlanta Dogwood Festival welcomes arts and food vendors, a kids village, music, and an international stage to Piedmont Park from Fri.-Sun., April 11-13. New this year, the Backyard Barbecue & Brews VIP Experience ($25-$55) on Saturday and Sunday, which will showcase local craft beers, wine, moonshine, and barbecue from local restaurants and chefs. The Disc Dog Southern Nationals Qualifier tournament returns to the fest as well.
