Kathy Yancey makes mixed media paintings and drawings with a searching introspective quality that examines selfhood in a rapidly changing world. The title of this exhibit “Paint By Heart†is a play on the phrase “play by heartâ€. Exploring her heart, mind and memory she makes art by intuition. She has work in the collection of the High Museum of Art, MOCAGA, State of Georgia and many more regional institutions. In May 2013 she exhibited at the iam8bit Gallery in Los Angeles. She has recently had solo shows in Chicago and Miami. The exhibit runs from 5/16/14 - 7/11/14.
