Earl Ijames, curator of African American and Community History at the North Carolina Museum of History, and Carl Russell, president of Crest Entertainment and film director, will preview their inspiring documentary about the history of Civil War-era blacks who, determined to secure their freedom, aligned themselves with both the Union and the Confederacy. The documentarians will also engage the audience in conversation.
