SOHO will host Nick Sciabica of Sciabica’s California Olive Oil for a tasting of the family’s olive oils and a prix fixe dinner with suggested wine pairings created by SOHO’s executive chef, Scott Warren. The Sciabica Family (SunshineInABottle.com) presses olives by variety and season, keeping the varietal separate all the way to the bottle, offering olive oils from delicate & sweet to robust & peppery. All of their olive oils are 100% Extra Virgin California Olive Oil, unrefined and contain no imported oil, chemicals, artificial colorings or preservatives. The family’s flavored olive oils are made not through heat infusion, but rather by cold-pressing real fruit or herbs with just-harvested olives. The all natural combination results in a truly deliciously fresh flavor. Executive Chef Scott Warren chose the following oils for his menu: Basil Olive Oil and Aceto Balsamico Di Modena; Sevillano Fall Harvest and Lime Olive Oil; Lemon Olive Oil; Rosemary Olive Oil and Garlic Olive Oil. The complete dinner menu is below. A reception introducing Mr. Sciabica will begin at 6:30 PM followed by dinner at 7:15PM. Reservations can be made by telephone or online.
