Tanz Farm: cloth

Saturday September 13, 2014 08:00 PM EDT
Cost: $10 (pay what you can)

From the venue:

Since its inception five years ago, gloATL has conditioned Atlanta to expect the unexpected from its experimental dance collaborations. Company founder and choreographer Lauri Stallings’ latest interdisciplinary feast, cloth, mixes movement with music and film to explore the fabric of interconnectedness. The two-part performance opens for a $75 preview exhibition at the Goat Farm on Wed., Sept. 10, before a “pay what you can” run spans Sept. 11-14. It features Stallings and five glo dancers; a new score by Atlanta Symphony Orchestra conductor Robert Spano; as well as a double-piano arrangement of Stravinsky’s “Rite of Spring,” performed by Spano and musical collaborators, amid film works from Micah and Whitney Stansell, and more.
