Der Biergarten and the German Chamber of Commerce are encouraging everyone to don their best dirndl and lederhosen and join them for Atlanta’s Fifth Schlagerparty. For those who may not be familiar with German Schlager, it’s a type of pop music with a catchy melody and simple lyrics that was especially popular in the 70s. The term “Schlager†can also refer to a hit song. From 7 p.m. to midnight, guests can enjoy beer specials such as $9 liters of Krombacher Pilsner and Weihenstephan Hefe and a DJ playing all the best Schlager songs.
