This program commemorates the 75th anniversary of Kristallnacht. Kristallnacht, translated as ‘the night of broken glass,’ was a coordinated series of attacks against Jews throughout Nazi Germany and Austria on November 9-10, 1938. Kristallnacht refers to the broken glass from the windows of Jewish-owned stores, buildings, and synagogues that lined the streets.The program will feature a 32-minute film with historical footage of the event and a panel discussion with witnesses to Kristallnacht.
