Coming fresh off 2013 — a year that saw Those Darlins settle into a stable lineup by adding Atlanta ex-pat Adrian Barrera (bass) — the Nashville foursome is back on the road supporting its third and finest album to date, Blur the Line (Oh Wow Dang). Over the last several years, Atlanta has been spoiled by the group’s numerous shows around town — playing everywhere from Virginia-Highland haunts such as Limerick Junction to the Drunken Unicorn and 529 in EAV — while honing its impressive chops. When the group makes its way back to town for a show at the Earl on Fri., Jan. 17, expect a raucous set anchored by introspective cuts from Blur the Line, as well as a set list filled with such twangy, Southern power-pop staples as “Red Light Love,” “Be Your Bro,” and more. Bully opens.
