The Atlanta Calligraphy Guild, Friends of the Alphabet, will be staging the calligraphic performance, “Illuminated Letters,†featuring 20 calligraphers demonstrating lettering styles from throughout history and around the world. Visitors walk through and view artists in action in a silent, spot-lit setting. Non-Western alphabets will also be highlighted with artists from Asian, Middle-Eastern, Indian, Mediterranean, and European calligraphy traditions.
