Design for Pervious Concrete

This one-day program will provide participants detailed understanding of pervious concrete stormwater systems and their use as a low-impact paving alternative. The course will begin with reasons for specifying pervious concrete paving and the many benefits of utilizing it. It will discuss issues affecting successful PC pavement design, including mix design, sizing, hydrology, siting, site preparation and post placement landscaping, layout, aspects of placement execution, and long term care and maintenance. The course includes exercises; in which the participants design and specify a sample pervious concrete stormwater system.
