Mark your calendar for live jazz at the High on the third Friday of every month, hosted by Jamal Ahmad from Jazz 91.9 WCLK, Atlanta’s jazz station! Music, drinks, art—no matter the month, every Friday Jazz offers a great lineup featuring different styles of jazz, from straight ahead to free jazz, bebop to swing, and more. August features the sounds of saxophonist Marquis Hare. Introduced to music at a young age, Hare brilliantly blends jazz, blues, and R&B. Seating for Friday Jazz is limited and opens at 6 p.m. There is no reserved seating. Standing room is plentiful. Friday Jazz is FREE with Museum admission and FREE for members. Join us for Drawing in the Galleries during each Friday Jazz from 6 to 9 p.m. Drop in and sketch live, clothed models in our galleries.
