Boutique Wines of Shaw-Ross Importers, Including 3 Frescobaldi Wines
Categories: wine and beer
Presented by Scott Kinsbrunner, CSW
Join us as we taste some delicious small batch wines from Shaw-Ross Importers, including 3 Frescobaldi wines. The Frescobaldi family began producing Tuscan wine in 1308 and soon developed a notable client base. In exchange for paintings, the Frescobaldis often traded their wine with the Italian Renaissance painter Michelangelo as well as supplied wine to Henry VIII and his court; surviving contracts in the family archives are signed by the English king!
We’ll also taste two other wines, both rated 90+ points!
We will be tasting:
Frescobaldi Terre More Cabernet, Maremma Toscana - 92 Points James Suckling
Tenuta Frescobaldi di Castiglioni, Toscana IGT - 91 Points James Suckling
Frescobaldi Nipozzano Riserva, Chianti Rufina DOCG
Marques de Riscal Gran Reserva Rioja - 93 Points Wine Enthusiast
Masut Pinot Noir, Mendocino, CA- 90 Points Wine Spectato
