The Atlanta Humane Society’s “Run for the Rescues” 5K and Fun Run raises funds to support the local non-profit’s work finding homes for adoptable pets. The Fun Run, which is a one-mile course, kicks off at 8:30 a.m. and the 5K begins at 9:15 a.m. Both races start in front of the library on Main Street. Attendees are encouraged to bring their dogs out for this event to benefit homeless pets in Atlanta. After the race, participants can enjoy awards, prizes, food and beverages, vendors and more.
