Often credited with creating the sub-genre “Newgrass,” Bromberg was Americana way before Americana was cool. With roots in the blues, country, and even a bit of jazz, he has been doing what he loves for decades. A sought-after producer and guitarist, Bromberg took a long layoff to study and play the violin, but he still makes great music. Not sure what to expect at this gig, but there is no doubt it will be good. — James Kelly
