The annual South Metro Development Outlook (SMDO) Conference returns to the Georgia International Convention Center (GICC) on Thursday, February 21, 2019. Billed as the South’s largest economic development conference, the event brings together industry leaders and experts to discuss growth, impact, and investment opportunities in Clayton, Coweta, Douglas, Fayette, Henry, and South Fulton counties as well as in the City of Atlanta. Now in its 17th year, more than 600 attendees are expected.

This year’s agenda will explore transformative development projects including The Gateway Center at College Park Arena and MARTA’s transit oriented developments and offer updates on new economic development activity in the region. Moderated panels will examine the impact of Small Businesses on South Metro’s development and spark thought-provoking dialogue on Smart Cities, Workforce Development, and Transit.
