Face of Knives and the Bakery Present: Some more w*ld sh*t on a Sunday

Jennifer Vanilla: the entrepreneurial fantasy vessel LARPed into reality by Becca Kauffman, a New York City performance artist and long standing member of the musical group, Ava Luna. Her commercial-inspired vocalizations, paired with reconstructions (or "jv edits") of 90's house tracks, draw comparisons to Laurie Anderson, Will Powers, and Ann Steel, and provide the foundation for her comedic, theatrical live performances. JV has toured coast to coast and performed alongside Yaeji, Carrie Brownstein (Sleater Kinney), Cindy Wilson (The B-52's), Miho Hatori (Cibo Matto), YACHT, Dynasty Handbag, Mr. Twin Sister, and Sateen at venues such as MoMA PS1, Museum of Modern Art, Revolve Gallery, Zebulon, and Bowery Ballroom. Her album This is Jennifer was Rough Trade's Cassette of the Month in April 2018. Her public access show, The Jennifer Vanilla Hour, airs monthly on Queens Public Television.
