“The Bakery is proud to present White Trash Mountain, an exhibition of new works by Jack Michael. Michael’s work investigates garbage, consumer culture, labor, and sustainability from a low brow ecofeminist perspective, and interrupts the factory-to-landfill pipeline through acts of mending, recycling, and ornamentation. By juxtaposing textile aesthetics and mending tradtions against ostentatiously bling leftovers of modern life, Michael calls for a return to more conscious (and less conspicuous) consumer habits.” The Bakery Atlanta
