Planet Booty, Vampire Step-Dad

It’s hard to put a finger on this band. Are they pop? Funk? R&B? Comedic relief? The truth is, they’re most likely a healthy dose of all of the above. At first listen, you’ll want to laugh, because, frankly, the name itself induces hilarity. And so do many of their songs like “Das Booty,” for example, in which frontman Dylan Charles Germick proudly ends the song with the exclamation “You got dat fat meat.” But then other songs, like the R&B inspired “Take Off Your Pants,” take an entirely different direction, making room for Germick’s powerful and genuinely impressive vocals. Love them or hate them, their shows are infamous for being wildly fun and somehow ingenious in their own right. In other words, this is one show you don’t want to miss.
