From the venue:

The year was 1984, when a group of schoolmates set out to to cultivate a method to combine their adoration of Elvis Presley, and their adoration of beer, with their adoration of punk rock.......Dead Elvis.. was an often inebriated, Atlanta-based ensemble from the mid ‘80’s to the mid ‘90’s. Their sound and stage show were like an atomic bomb of abrasive chaos, always drunken and high energy with a healthy dose of humor thrown in. Gigs always delivered a lot of beer, blood, profanity and pranks thrown at the audience, which was typically comprised of punks, skinheads and exotic dancers. The band toured the Southeast for nearly a decade, sharing the gift of music and heartwarming anecdotes of Elvis, beer and women...The big, fat, oversexed Dead Elvis rock’n’roll juggernaut staggered onward until the incessant sex and drunken debauchery finally took their toll on the band. The incessant sex wasn’t a problem necessarily, just the drunken debauchery.
