From the venue:
Sadie and The Ladies is a Post-Punk group from Austin, Texas. Their sound is a mixture of dizzy melodies and fast, visceral rock and roll. The group wears their influences on their sleeve but are no strangers to harnessing their own unique sound. Frontman Austin Eichler’s vocal performance draws influence from the likes of Lou Reed and Mark E. Smith, with a bit of the melodic crooning of Iggy Pop or early Julian Casablancas. The way that guitarists Blake Willman and Wilson Chestney weave in and out of each others guitar licks is a nod to Television’s Tom Verlaine and Richard Lloyd. Cameron McCrae is one juicy piece of bassist clickbait. Drummer Drake Buckingham is a disciple of past drum heroes such as Ginger Baker, Keith Moon and John Bonham. All in all the group is a refreshing taste of what rock music should be at its core — a remarkable live band. Eichler is currently recording the bands debut LP at his home studio and the group is crafting their setlist at their almost weekly performances. Sadie and The Ladies are quickly gaining a fan base in both the U.S. and U.K. and are evaluating labels that will help spread their music to a larger audience while maintaining their artistic right.
