WAYLON PAYNE – The son of golden-age country icon Sammi Smith and longtime Willie Nelson guitarist Jody Payne, Waylon Payne has carved his own path as a singer-songwriter; from releasing his debut album The Drifter on Universal Republic, to earning his 2019 Grammy nomination for Best American Roots Song, Waylon’s prolific career continues full throttle into his latest project, The Prodigal, produced by Frank Liddell (Miranda Lambert, Lee Ann Womack, Pistol Annies), which is slated for early 2020 release. Waylon most recently toured with Robert Earl Keen, and has previously toured with Willie Nelson, Dwight Yoakam, Lucinda Williams, Kris Kristofferson, Steve Earle, and more. In addition to his musical pursuits, Waylon also portrayed Jerry Lee Lewis in the Oscar-winning Johnny Cash biopic, Walk The Line, as well as Hank Garland in the independent film Crazy.
